White Helmets fight against people trafficking in partnership with Foundation María de los Ángeles

Today, in the Argentine Chancellery, the White Helmets Commission signed a Cooperation Agreement with Foundation María de los Ángeles with the purpose to deepen the fight against human trafficking that the agency has been developing since 2014.

There were at the meeting the Ministry María Julia Rodriguez, from the Bureau of Women at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Laura Solá from the Rescue Program and support for trafficked people from the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. On behalf of Foundation María de los Ángeles, Susana Trimarco was accompanied by Alejandra Fascetti, Mariana Schvartz, Luján Araujo and Lucía Martínez.

After a welcome speech by the White Helmets´ Vice President, Esteban Mahiques, the agreement was signed.

During the meeting, it was highlighted the importance of this agreement to develop joint projects to consolidate and amplify the work done by transmitting knowledge to identify people trafficking situations, procedures and protocols.    

From 2014 White Helmets, jointly with Foundation María de los Ángeles, has incorporated these topics to the trainings for the volunteers and has given awareness talks all around Argentina.
